The vitriol for Katrina (both on the show and in the fandom) is making me start to dislike Abbie. She's not in fact the most perfect person ever, and the fact that she's a problem between a married couple just makes me plain uncomfortable.

how is Abbie a problem, though?
Katrina has put enough secrets between her and her husband to be herself the problem it's not like you can blame Abbie for stuff she has nothing to do. If her husband develops a connection with Abbie it wouldn't be the latter's fault either if that becomes a problem for Katrina. He would be the one to blame.

Is she really a "problem" anywhere but in Ichabod/Katrina shippers' eyes? There's obvious tension and potential conflict of interest there, but everyone's trying very sensibly to negotiate it like civilized people, Abbie included.

I actually went online to try to find what you guys are talking about and I couldn't find any Katrina hate or any other kind of hate in the fandom. All I found was someone making nonsense complaints about how Ichabod treats Abbie but that was it.
