Agreed! I mean, Salman Khan made a living out of randomly taking off his shirt.

Hrithik Roshan. He's also the dude in the two sword fighting gifs between it.

Movies are Dhoom 2 and Jodhaa Akbar respectively.

Hrithik Roshan. I haven't seen all of his movies, but he gets shirtless in a lot of them at least once.

Bollywood protip. All male leads get shirtless in most of their films at least once.

It is known.

I do enjoy that Hrithik Roshan finds himself shirtless in every single film on the flimsiest of narrative circumstances.

Ooh, okay. I'd definitely recommend:

Dhoom 2 (comedy/romance/action)
Two cops try to stop an international jewel thief who is also incredibly hot. Many stunts/action sequences are completely ridiculous and base themselves off the rule of cool. (subtitled trailer)

3 Idiots (comedy)
Two old college friends get a lead on their other best friend who disappeared right after graduating. Told in a series of flashbacks and present day hijinks. This summary does not do it justice. Hilarious and also an amazing critique of today's education system. (subtitled trailer)

Main Hoon Na (comedy/action)
Die Hard meets High School Musical. That's the movie. Okay, slightly more details. Ram is a special forces military guy who gets sent to college undercover to protect a general's daughter after a terrorist attack. Same college is where Ram's estranged half-brother goes. Movie is half him trying to fit in and bond with his brother and half secretly protecting everyone from getting blown up. (no subtitles trailer)

Om Shanti Om (comedy/romance/wtf supernatural/revenge)
Personal fave, but mostly because it hits so many of my own narrative kinks. Om is a B-list actor/extra trying to make it big in 70s Bollywood. He falls in love with A-list actress Shantipriya. All this is a charming straightforward romcom... and then halfway through shit gets real. Made by the same people behind Main Hoon Na.
(half?-subtitled trailer)

Dostana is pretty hilarious too, but it's pretty much a straight out romcom, no action. And I love Ghajini, but it's like romance/action (not very much comedy). And then I've heard the Don series is pretty good as far as action goes, but I haven't seen them... pretty much every Bollywood movie is going to have romance packaged somewhere into it.

But yeah, I think this is pretty good for a short gateway drug/movie list.
