That sounds so...adult to me. But then I realize I'm technically an adult. What would you ideally want, house-wise?

No duplexes, no mass developments, stand alone home with it's own property title, fully finished basement suite to rent out, sturdy construction, minimal renovations necessary, central to work and close to schools.

Bonuses- hardwood flooring, dishwasher in the kitchen, full size tub, good living room, quiet-ish neighbourhood, nice back yard for gardening, deck.

Size of living space isn't the biggest issue since it's just us and the cat for the moment.
