Fact 1: Something doesn't have to have sex in it for the characters to be sexualized (but also, Twilight does have sex in it)
Fact 2: That's one book. Did you know that there's more than one erotic novel aimed towards women out there? Did you know, in fact, that there's an entire section in most bookstores devoted to the genre? Should we discount every single iteration of a genre except its breakout hit?
Fact 3: LOL no

50 Shades of Gray anybody?

(Anonymous) 2014-11-21 01:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Fact: The fact that EL James' books DON'T have a shirtless headless man on the cover man helped the success.

Yes, surely that, and not the Twilight tie-in or the mild kink or the media coverage due to said kink.

Fact: This is not what a fact is.

Rape is a "mild" kink now?

(Anonymous) 2014-11-21 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
This is the lamest trolling I've experienced in a long time.

Go to bed.

I'm not the anon above and I don't see how is rape a mild kink.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-21 02:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure you're not, champ.

HAHAHAAHAHA, are you really trying to say that 50 Shades was a success because women fell in love with the neutral cover, not because of the crappy porn inside?
