The cat isn't inbred. It was just a combination of weird luck that led to dwarfism. It can happen in any coupling of cats.

Are you... sure? Because the chance of defect is much higher with inbred cats. Tardar Sauce's brother also has abnormalities. Even if the family didn't take part in inbreeding them, if they were rescued off the street or their mother was, there's a pretty good chance that there's been inbreeding somewhere down the line.

Pokey's a littermate, and given his coloring matches none of the other cats they have as far as I can tell, I really doubt it's very close inbreeding. It was probably just random happenstance.
