Except, she didn't come out and say she felt abused, so your point of moot. Don't even try to play the hypothetical game.

You can hate Lena all you want, but what she did wasn't sexual abuse. More than likely she probably over-exaggerated a lot of what she claimed she did. Especially since she clearly doesn't know the difference between the vagina and labia, given the pebble story.

"Nature of the acts performed" was normal sexual development in a young child. Lena's only crime is being a fucking idiot.

Go back to tumblr and continue the trend of spouting misinformation and militant hatred.

No, she didn't, but my friend, had the same experience, This is not hypothetical. She considers it to be sexual abuse.

Would your message to her be "It was normal sexual development of your sister. you are wrong to consider it sexual abuse"

Also, my knowledge of "Lena" does not extend beyond this scandal and my looking into it. I do hate her, but this hate is based on seeing first hand the damage her actions can cause. Her sister is lucky she could brush it off. Not everyone does. this is why it IS sexual abuse.

OMG

I am so sick of this "but it's not really sexual abuse". Do you know how rape apologists usually defend rapists. They don't usually say "but rape is good" , they often try to argue that it didn't "count" as rape.

That's what some of these people are doing, and the hypocrisy completely disgusts me. Their claim that "oh you just hate her for shallow/political reasons" is pathetic.

and tbh I judge every one of them making that argument.

I don't think it's exactly right to compare rape to two underage children exploring genitals. For one thing, a 7 year old probably has no idea what they're doing or that it's wrong to begin with, nor are they doing it for sexual gain or anything beyond curiosity. It'd be like sending a child to jail for murdering someone when chances are they had no concept or understanding of what they did. You simply do not hold single digit children to the same standards or expectations as adults.

Anything Lena did afterwards (when she was in her teens) definitely falls under the line of abusive, gross and wrong though.

You friend has the right to define her experinces for herself. But neither she nor you have the right to define them for other people.

I did a lto of sexual stuff with my older brother and we both have a great big laugh about it today. If this is what horrifying childhood sexual abuse then I enjoyed being abused and don't regret a thing.

So sexual assault is defined not by the actions done, but by the way the person feels about it. My friend was sexually assaulted because of how she feels about the actions done, Lena's sister was not sexually assaulted because she didn't mind, in spite of the scenarios being very similar.

So by your logic a man goes out, finds a drunk girl, takes her home inspite of the fact she's too drunk to consent, this is not rape until the morning, where the decision is made by said drunk girl about how much she minded?

This is bullshit. The man in this scenario is a rapist. The damage done by him on this occasion is the only thing that is up in the air.

You're absolutely right, feelings don't matter. No matter how you or your friend feel about her exepriences, childhood development experts, as well as expert on childhood sexual abuse agree that what Lena did was normal for kids to do. So if what happened to your friend was the same, then she should just get over it, right? Because feelings don't matter.

By the way, I knowplenty of people in loving, stable relationships with people they've had drunk sex with. If that's rape, then I guess I was right in my previous comment: it feels nice to get raped. Sexual abuse is not an upsetting experience at all.
