...I know people who have named their cat Mutton and Fishcakes. So yes, I can believe they named their cat Tartar Sauce. why wouldn't they???

I don't really know what ayrt is talking about - for all we can see (and that's one damn weird conspiracy) her name has always been Tardar Sauce. After she was put on the Internet, she became known as Grumpy. That's her stage name, if you will, but her real name is still Tardar.

Tardar Sauce is totally her name. I do think it was probably a placeholder name that her owner just kept, though.

Tardar Sauce is definitely her real name. They even explained how it happened, and it seems pretty plausible to me.

I don't see how the owners are sketch.
