What did you crossover with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?

I know there are probably other things I should probably associate with Castle Neuschwanstein first, but it's still where my mind automatically goes. Sorry, Bavaria.

Obviously it'd be Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks what with Caractacus Potts being Bert and Mr. Banks being professor Emelius Brown and all three canons being early 20th century period musicals with a hint (or more) of magic.

...I might have thought about this just a tad when I was little.

I think I love you for that

(Anonymous) 2014-11-22 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
This sounds like lots of fun!

Man, this secret could be written by me. I say have at it, and have fun.

That sounds sort of depressing. Maybe you could try to publish it as profic instead?

(Anonymous) 2014-11-22 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Why does it have to be written? Maybe OP is happy to simply have their multiverse in their head.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-23 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Why do you have to take that as a slight?

(Anonymous) 2014-11-23 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
I would agree. Sometimes an idea feels more comforting in one's head. I know that it can be that way and sometimes I have fannish daydreams and "headfics" that I wouldn't post because the people who might slam it down might bum me out.

Some fics are more fun in your head.

I am not alone!

(Anonymous) 2014-11-22 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Have you been inside my brain, OP?

(Anonymous) 2014-11-22 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Whatever works for you nonny.

i don't do ocs, but i'm feeling the au fodder and elaborate crossover universe parts.

one can desperate sometimes when one finds oneself dragged into trash cw shows about vampires.

Oh man, I did this hardcore when I was younger. I had this whole elaborate mental setup where I was like the owner of a random inn that every character under the sun would stay in. They rotated out as I watched/read new things, and they had all sorts of ridiculous crossover adventures that they'd tell me about. I wish I could still do that, tbh, but I just can't access that place in my mind anymore. Good for you, OP. Shit's fun.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-23 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
I want to read this now. It sounds so good! I think i've read or thought of a fic in a similar situation, but instead of inn keeper, it was a bartender.

The second one is a huge part of fandom for me. I too have a massive crossover in my head and characters created. I have this whole timeline played out with different fandoms all colliding together and a character that I am for each point in time.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-23 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds like fun! Then again, there was one person in my fandom who kept posting stories from their giant AU crossover headcanon, and there'd be a character and pairing list five paragraphs long and that would be longer than the actual fic they posted... Yeah, that stuff is fun in your head, and that's where it should stay.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-23 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
TBH I think that stuff should be under a cut or Read More and as long as it is (and properly tagged) I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to put it on their blog or something if it's their blog. Someone who doesn't like it can just avoid it.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-23 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Ha, you sound just like this one friend of mine. I love her AU's they're actually pretty elaborate. If you get anything out of it than that can't be bad, right?

(Anonymous) 2014-11-23 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
This sounds like my life.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-23 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Either that makes two of us, or I've been making secrets in my sleep again.

Maybe I don't go to the same extent, but this sort of thing is why I have a Silmaril who is a Grey Warden. (LotR/Dragon Age crossover.)

Oh, I feel so much with you on the crossover part. I have this huge complex multiverse in my head with everyone and everything going on doing stuff and it's just. damn. amazing. I wish there's a way to covey what it feels in writing or art.

In short: you go, OP. :)
