I was about to say this.

Write two endings, one to mess with the readers that annoy you (if you really must) and a proper one for yourself and the readers you actually care about?

Otherwise it's like you've let the situation spoil your own writing pleasure.

In the Lois and Clark fandom we called the evil endings Tank endings.

Not OP, but sometimes it isn't a case of 'letting' that happen. Sometimes it just does, regardless of your best intentions.

It's hard to find pleasure in being treated like a fic ATM, and eventually you'll associate the fic with that discouraging feeling as much as you will the entitled readers.
