Weeeell, if it's make you feel better, the average for a woman living in the US is 5'4'', for men 5'9'' and for Hispanics is a couple of inches less than that, so I would say you're aren't really that short.

Statistically it sounds like that, but seriously when you are the shortest person in the group, you feel it, even if it's only a couple of inches. It comes with its problems (being disregarded or condescended to) and its perks (people don't feel threatened so they're more likely to be friendly).
