My big problem with Thor/Jane isn't necessarily with the character of Jane but the fact that I can't help but feel, every time I look at Natalie Portman onscreen that she REALLY doesn't want to be there. And I don't know WHY I get that feeling but I do.

Maybe. I don't know. I mean, I don't think I'm her harshest critic (I really LIKED her as Padmé in the Star Wars prequels). But whenever I watch her on Thor I just get this…vibe…that she thinks this is all beneath her. Don't know why, but it kind of hurts my immersion.

Haha, I meant her very half-hearted acting in the Thor movies specifically. Sure, she's not the greatest actress of all time, but in the Thor movies it's like she's really not even trying.
Anyways, I do totally get what you mean.
