The 100

Is anyone watching this show? The first season is on Netflix US and the second is about six episodes in on the CW right now. It's surprisingly very entertaining. I wasn't so sure at first and kind of hate-watched for a few episodes thinking I'd lose interest like like I did with Revolution, but then it just got really good and now I'm hooked.

It's got that Hunger Games/Divergent "post apocalyptic teenagers fight for their lives in the future" thing that's so popular right now. Anyway, so the plot is humans in the future live on a space station because earth has been uninhabitable due to radiation for like 99 years. But, the space station can't support as much life anymore and is failing, so a bunch of jerkass future adults send 100 juvenile delinquents to earth to see if it is inhabitable now. Then pretty everyone becomes encrusted in mud and dies. I mean, that's the gist, I don't want to spoil it. The characters are pretty good, and if you like shows for eye-candy, are nice to look at (especially Bellamy, imo). It has interesting adult characters as well as teen/young adult characters as well.

So, anyone watching or interested in watching?

I liked it better when it was still on the ark. I could have gone a full series on Ark related A plots, and whiny brats slowly getting themselves killed due to their own stupidity in the B plots.

The kids are less whiny than I expected them to be. Except for Finn. He's the worst. I'm not a huge fan of Octavia either, though I like her and Bellamy's relationship.

I am interested in what their life on the Ark was like though. Being stuck on a space station is kind of a scary thought to me, and I'm interested in the mechanics as well as the social dynamic. Especially since it was an amalgamation of the stations of a bunch of different cultures.

I love it. It's pretty fantastic, actually. Especially this season. My only gripe is I want to see more Jasper and Monty :)

I want to see more Jasper and Monty too! I'm also liking Murphy a lot this season, which is a surprise to me. I'd like to see him get more of a redemption arc AND NOT DIE.

Well, I did watch some episodes during the first season, but I just ended up wanting to slap those stupid kids or wishing that the mutant deer would have gone full-on Cujo on them.

Too much apocalyptic high school drama for my taste.

I gets way less high-school drama to the point that I even forgot there was high-school type drama in the beginning at all.

I watched S1 and decided I didn't want to put up with the kids anymore. Too whiny.

Someone told me it was a little like 7seeds which is one of my favourite manga (survival with a wonderful big cast and kinda SF) so I started watching it.

It's neat overall and there's a lot of stuff happening but I could do without the love triangles, the romance is pretty heavy-handed. The drama too, sometimes.

There's some pretty cool characters though. I love Raven.
