I think the bigger issue with Harry/Ginny is more the "high school sweethearts" factor. But if you think of the wizarding world as a bit of an insulated small town, it's not that uncommon (my dad's high school friends married and my grandparents were high school sweethearts), especially given that they don't really go to college or anything. So it makes sense that they'd generally stay around the same people and marry the people they loved at school.
