Re: I rant about superhero comics briefly

Clark/Diana. That's a good one. Just a big, big no to me. The fact that DC is trying to push it as the new iconic Superman couple just makes me roll my eyes. Stop trying to make Superman/Wonder Woman happen DC, it's not going to happen.
Dick/Babs is another one I'm not wild about too, to be honest. It's good in theory, but the way most writers have portrayed it has been a miss for me.

As a fan of both characters, I am not at all surprised that Clark/Diana is in present canon turning awkward. Superman has a much stronger and more numerous fanbase, which intersects with the creative talent pool, so of course he's going to be the "main" character, which can lead to Diana being a supporting character in their shared book, or even "the irritating one" in the relationship.

I don't think I totally hate the ship, I just think it worked better as an alternate reality thing, like a missed opportunity.

And my favorite version of their relationship is the one from several years ago where they act more like best friends or siblings, and she's not even mooning over him.
