I was wondering if anyone would mention Anne Bishop in this thread, or if any fans of her thought her books still had too much save-the-world plot in them (let's face it, the first "Black Jewels" trilogy was basically saving the world from itself, as were the other two worlds (Ephemera and the one about witch hunts?).
