Oh, he was such an asshole. He had to know what that would do to her emotionally and socially. The least he could've done was call it off privately with her beforehand instead of leaving her at the alter.

I'm not real fond of Gregson either. Dude is sketchier than an etch-a-sketch.

Yes, re: Gregson. Skehhhhtchy for sure. I have no idea how someone as smart as Edith fell for that line but can only assume she wanted to get the hell out of Dodge Downton reaaaalllly badly.
