12. ...but everyone in Gurren Lagann is just a mecha 'type' of some kind. Nia's just the beloved-ingenue-who-grows-up-to-be-a-princessly-badass type. You could argue the same about Kamina being a Sue: he has a tragic past and everyone loves and is inspired by him no matter how obnoxious he actually is.

But I forgot, being a manly badass automatically exempts you from being a Sue, just as being a sweet girly type automatically makes you likely to be one. -_-

19. I...really don't see this in KH fandom. Granted I'm not a huge part of it, but I've never seen the kind of Kairi-idolizing you talk about. Some people like her, some don't.

25. The other characters doted on her incessantly? They were (mostly) nice to her, sure, but...the only "doting" I can think of is that they went along with some of her plans for cheering up/helping out Squall, and, well, they were Squall's friends!

Sure, it would have been nice if more people had called her on being a spoiled brat. It also would have been nice if more people had called Quistis on being insecure to the point of incompetence at times, or Selphie on being kind of crazy, or Irvine on covering up his immaturity by being all ~*~suave~*~. By and large, every character in the game was a messed-up teenager, and the only one explicitly called on it by the others was Squall (and occasionally Zell, but only by Seifer). Nearly everyone's characterization but his could have used some more attention.

I suspect that one of the reasons Rinoa in particular comes under so much fire is that she's a type that people are used to seeing done badly and then shoved in our faces as being some kind of Perfect Epitome Of Femininity, so a lot of players assumed (not entirely unreasonably) that was what she was supposed to be.
