I'm not OP, but I'm fairly certain the point of that post was that the Tumblr people started calling places where the dude in question did not work as they didn't do their research properly. So basically that they called all the wrong places and not the business where the guy actually worked.

There was another one? I saw one about a girl who used a bunch of slurs on twitter and the restaurant she worked at confirmed she got fired. It's a shame that people couldn't get their act together to properly denounce this other guy, but if they manage to do it properly, the business would have reason to fire them.

The one linked in the top post of thread is about people calling the completely wrong restaurant to complain about a guy who said crap on twitter becase they thought he worked there.
