Domestic yes, but worldwide Star Trek Into Darkness is apparently the hightest grossing of them all.

These movies are hardly a flop or failure so I agree with the first anon.

Ummm…financial success =/= quality.

Look at Transformers or Twilight -- huge box office, terrible films. Or hell, any number of the absolutely stupendous films that made next to nothing at the box office.

I can decide well enough for myself what constitutes a good reboot and, in my opinion, Star Trek DEFINITELY isn't it.

More power to you if you like it, but I don't give a crap about the box office or what other people (like critics) say about it. All that matters to me is my opinion at the end of the day.
