Not in this case op. Most are hearing this story only know but people knew it since decades that he was a suspected rapist. He's privileged by his star status like woody allen and roman polanski who also had covered their tracks for decades.
They all get polarizing reactions in that half of the people defend them and half call them scum and want to ban their works.

Either way, I still love that show and the fictional character. I know it's hard and I won't lie, these things turn me off as well, but I always made a point about separating art and the fictional world from the real people (actors, directors etc)
