You're right, it's not a big deal. It's okay to admit that we're not perfect. So why is it so hard for OP to consider that, at least in this ONE thing, that maybe she's got some negative ideas about women?

and what's bad about that? And the seem pretty sure it's not internalised misogyny.

"whats bad about seeing women in a negative light?"

are you serious

Not OP

Because people play video games for fun, and it ruins the fun to be second-guessing yourself all the time (we already have the OP hating herself a bit, it looks like. She shouldn't have to apologize). I don't want to be a miserable sod. I want to save the universe, perform arcane magic, rescue the space refugees, and kick the ass of the demons/aliens/zombie cult.

Maybe she just wants to imagine being male for a bit. Maybe it's curiosity, not misogyny.

Me, I always play guys because I already am female and I find playing as female boring. When there are different races, I always play anything but human for the same reason. I play games to do and be things I can't do/ am not in real life. But sure, it must be internalised misogyny.

I'm the exact same way. I guess we must hate the human race, anon, since we choose not to play as humans!

Same. Why would I want to be the exact same thing in a game that I am in real life? If I want to be a woman, I can just exist.
