IDK, depending on the ending, suddenly being a King with no idea how the fuck to rule a country is a pretty big ass problem.

He didn't want to be king, so I never made him king. (Plus, I never romanced him with anything other than a dwarf so I couldn't be Queen. He stayed a Warden so he could be with me.)

... Gonna have to change that in some of my future world states, though.

I don't think Ali would be the best king, though. If you harden him it sounds like things turn out alright, but I doubt it would go well for him at first because like you said, he would be out of his element.
