no, but they should, because they don't, and that's sadly incredibly clear

why is it sad that they have no interest in putting korra and asami together? it's their show and there's nothing that particular screams "romance" about their interactions

no, I know, I get that, and I'm not like...pinning all my hopes on korrasami like a lot of people are, but it would just be nice to actually have queer kids represented, and it's disappointing that they clearly never had any intention to do so. it's not really about korrasami as a ship, sorry if it sounded that way. it's more about not really letting writers off the hook when we're playing the blame game on producers.

Yeah, but Korrasami was a thing long before Asami even had a name. I know it's disappointing, but I think their non-intention for Korrasami is like their non-intention for Zutara. Not that it would be a gay pairing (though I doubt Nick would have allowed it...) but just not what they wanted to write.

I do hope that's the case :/ it's hard not to be a little cynical, not even from a korrasami standpoint-- like, korra doesn't have to be queer for me to enjoy the show or anything, it's more just an overall disappointment that writers won't write queer main characters, especially in kids' media. I'm not saying they're obligated to, but just...it'd be nice. you know?

At the end of s1, they said "Those kids were meant for each other" about Makorra. I'm pretty sure they only broke them up to get back to a status quo. Don't be surprised if they hook back up at the end of the series lol
