The fact that Far Cry 4 is everything so many people were asking for (including myself) in terms of not making the same old Brown-Haired 30-Something White Guy protagonist telling the same old story, and yet I haven't heard a peep about the game from the usual suspects.

It's Far Cry, tho, innit? I think everyone's just about burnt out on that series.

I know I was halfway through the first one.

No, I'm saying after FC3 everyone's about done with the series. Even the flap over the FC4 boxart didn't last more than 5 minutes.

Damn, we need some new franchises.

I agree wholeheartedly. Even Call of Duty is on the wane of late.

I didn't know about Ajay Ghale, that's really awesome. I had no idea the story was even about him, since all the marketing seems to have that asshole in the pink suit plastered on it, making me assume it was the same old bullshit, unlike InFamous: Second Son where Delsin's face was everywhere. Maybe that's part of the reason? There's also that it's FPS, and from what I can tell, FPS isn't terribly popular with the sort of people who usually care about the glut of scruffy white brunet protags. Maybe they're playing Dragon Age: Inquisition right now instead, which is what I'm doing.
