not the best writer =/= "hack"

My god, I see this so much in my writing comm (and some here). A hack isn't someone who has a flaw in their writing. It's someone who copies and doesn't even try.

The guy who wrote Eragon, for example, would be a hack. Th person who wrote 50 Shades is a hack.

Someone who's writing has flaws is not a hack. I'm sick of the "if it's not perfect it's trash" attitude. If this were true than ALL writers are hacks because none of us can write the perfect novel.
