I really need to re-read the Shannara series. I'm quite enjoying Armageddon's Children (about a third through it) but I spend an awful lot of time wondering how much of the original Shannara world reflects this prequel.

(Because from page 2 I've been ?!!?! I had no idea)

... they weren't in Tolkien's day. Brooks also ripped off the plot, not just characters/tropes. I sincerely hope that if you create any sort of art, nobody copies your work and passes it off as their own. If this happens, I hope that nobody argues well, lots of people write stories about _______ or draw pictures of _______, so what's the big deal?
