He said he was raped, but he was so committed to the art piece he was doing at the time he didn't lift a finger to defend himself, and remained silent about it until an interviewer asked him about the art performance.

He is, quite frankly, full of shit.

Okay, look, I wasn't there so I don't know.

Fact is, he might be full of shit. But look at the way you worded it. And imagine if you had said that about a woman. "She didn't lift a finger to defend herself" would be a whole lot like victim blaming, wouldn't it?

As I said, I have no clue what actually happened, but some people do actually freeze up in a situation like that. And it has nothing to do with strength. There are cases of people with a black belt in karate getting raped. It's not beyond the realm of possibility. Not at all, even.

Why is it that some people say victim blaming is bad...but only until it's someone they don't particularly like getting raped?
