Fact is, he might be full of shit. But look at the way you worded it. And imagine if you had said that about a woman. "She didn't lift a finger to defend herself" would be a whole lot like victim blaming, wouldn't it?
As I said, I have no clue what actually happened, but some people do actually freeze up in a situation like that. And it has nothing to do with strength. There are cases of people with a black belt in karate getting raped. It's not beyond the realm of possibility. Not at all, even.
