Great, now that tone sequence is in my head.

It's just a still but it didn't even take me a second to know what movie that scene is from. And, yes, it is my favorite scene in the movie. It gives me goosebumps too. It's brilliantly framed.

For those who haven't seen the movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, here's the scene.

They don't really make sci-fi movies like this on this large scale any more. The every man, non-action hero story sci-fi movie. It's a damn shame. (Nolan tried to do it with Interstellar but didn't really come close.)

Oh, me as well - there's something about the ... idk, the harmonics of the singing/chanting (esp the 4th tone) that makes it incredibly beautiful; I could listen to it for hours.

(And there's something wonderful about the "chain of translation" from French to English to Hindi.)
