Re: Sex/beauty symbols who aren't thin

You can call her thin when she has such a large amount of boob. I have large boobs myself, and even when I was very sick with mono for about three weeks and dropped an alarming amount of weight, I was still above my recommended BMI. The boobs matter.

Also, she's a size 10, and the average dress size in the USA is a 14. She's thin.

>the average dress size in the USA
>in the USA

That's not a good comparison to make, as the US has a much higher proportion of overweight people than most of the rest of the world. The US average is not "average"

She's a citizen of the USA, so it's a perfectly valid statement. She is skinny compared to the average woman in her country, thus, skinny.

That's not how it works anon

If everyone in the US were 500 pounds and someone is 499, that doesn't make that person skinny, it makes everyone overweight because you're comparing them to everyone being 500 pounds

Wtf are you on?

You can be non-thin without being "skinny" if the average person is already overweight which in the US they are

That doesn't really work. Skinny doesn't mean "smaller than average" -- some of its synonyms are "scrawny" and "bony" and "waiflike" which Christina Hendricks is demonstrably NOT. Also, just because that the population of the US is -- medically -- on average overweight, you can't call someone who is normal weight skinny.

If everyone weighed 400 pounds on average, someone who only weighed 300 pounds wouldn't be skinny. Smaller than average? Yeah. But not skinny.

She's not fat or big. But she's not thin either. The average American woman is overweight after all. At 5'4" and 166.2 pounds, you have a bmi of 28.5 which is overweight. And while on an individual level the bmi may not be great, it's very good for looking at the average population.

Look at this picture: http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx85/96bearcat/More/Christina-Hendricks-3.jpg

She has full, thick thighs -- not fat, but you can't look at those legs and tell me they're skinny or thin either.

TIL the average American woman weighs more than I do, holy shit.

She's not even close to 5'4''. Her height is officially 5'7'', and the weight varies between 70kg and 73kg depending on the source. You can call her thin because of her proportions--she has a classic hourglass figure, but her waist is pretty small.

I know that. I listed her height and weight a bit earlier on. But that being said, she is NORMAL weight. She's on the higher end of the bmi scale because of her breasts but even then she is nowhere near skinny or thin. She's a normal, healthy weight.

She is a sex/beauty symbol who isn't thin. She's not bigger or fat either. But that doesn't automatically make her thin.

No, the average american woman is 5'4" and 166 lbs. On average, they are overweight. To take that as a benchmark for skinniness is plain wrong.

A 10 is significantly larger than the average Hollywood actress, though.
