i'm just curious on how much it costs to stream movies? do you need to buy something to do it? :[ can you store movies? i read you can only play things 1gb or less? i'm looking at my harry potter movie and it's bigger than 1gb. how do you do it? haha

Hi! Sorry for taking so long to reply; haven't been around!

So, if you sign up through secure.livestream.com, it doesn't cost a thing. You can set up a channel for free, and the necessary software is free, as well.

The way it works is that you play a movie on your computer, as you normally would, and you broadcast it to others via the streaming software. The interface is kind of like a box that you can shrink and expand and move around your desktop. So, you don't store movies anywhere except on your PC, and there's no size limit.

The only thing that you really need to make sure of is that your internet is good enough to handle the load (I seem to remember it being suggested that you have an upload speed of at least 5 Mbps). You can see where you fall here: http://www.speedtest.net/.
