It' spossible to use 2 in tandem with something like a Crossfire bridge, but I'm not sure that's something you can do with 6 year old cards.

(And the cost of the bridge is probably about waht the cost of a new card would be.)

Unless you need the absolute fastest/latest, keep an eye on whoever is coming out with a new graphics card line; usually you can then pick up their previous generation cards heavily discounted.
