On behalf of all the non-infected workers of the world, I say "stay home". Failing to be bedridden is not the same as needing to come to work. How would you feel if you dragged your flu-ridden ass to work, infected someone whose immune system was not as on the ball as it could have been, they developed complications and ended up dying? That happens, flu (and even colds) kill people. Sometimes they kill otherwise healthy people too. You also contribute to increased national misery. Email from home, and call from home if you feel you are so indispensable (hint: you aren't).

People coming in when they're sick because they're "not that sick" is what really kills office productivity, because guess what? You just infected your coworkers. Now they have to take time off, and you come out behind.
