"Speed Racer". It's actually a favorite film of mine. Although, I've kind of found out that this film has gained a bit of a cult following. Like, people didn't go see in theatres because it seemed ridiculous to them, and a lot of critics really panned it, but on the suggestion of someone they watched it years later and found it rather enjoyable, so...go Speed go.

I liked Speed Racer a lot as well. They actually did an amazingly good job of capturing the anime style of character interaction and visuals. It was essentially a flawless adaptation of the Japanese version of the cartoon to the big screen.

Unfortunately, a lot of critics weren't aware that this is what they were going for and were probably expecting something with more North American/European sensibilities.
