A Clockwork Orange. Sorry, I'm just not 17 enough to think it's deep.

I like the book quite a bit. Not a huge fan of the movie, though.

For one thing, IIRC, they completely change the ending, and thereby the basic message of the film.

Not read the book and after sitting through the movie I don't care to.

Movie is straight up some try-hard garbage though. It's like if The Warriors was directed by a British mod fop with more impenetrable gibberish. I hate it so much, and I hate that not liking it always attracts someone yelling YOU'RE JUST TOO STUPID TO GET IT.

Perfect example of something being shocking at the time and thereby being labelled a classic forever.

I feel like A Clockwork Orange is an overall mediocre movie, but since it came out in the 70's, has "edgy" themes, and was directed by Kubrick, people think it's a classic
