Guys, remember only one secret per comment on the submissions post. It makes it easier to keep track of the number we've received. Thanks!

29. I rather believe it too, a bit. I'm not sure how slashy exactly I feel about it, but I think there's something that feels like a bad breakup. But I'd rather it stay subtext. Doctor/Rose always was best as subtext and hand-holding. Subtext=more fun. (Besides, Doctor/Master would never be a healthy, pleasant, or cute relationship realistically, so...*shrug)
33. I would take a comment over a fav any day. Favs kinda gloss over. I don't really look at 'em at all. Comments I read. I'm an absolute attention h0r, and even a "Wow, that's good!" comment brightens my day, though Lord knows I'd rather recieve something with a bit more substance. A fav sans comment has even less substance than "lol!!!!!" comments do.
Though wanky comments can eat me. Or the babbley ones that have nothing to do with anything whatsoever.
38. I kinda do too, so long as she's likeable to me. Everyone loves Miaka=headdesk. Everyone loves Tohru=cute.
41. I've never done that...for serious... 9.9

Oh so much word. Sometimes I think I'm alone in loving the way that their relationship was handled. All the shippers keep agitating for more, while the haters whine that there shouldn't have even been any subtext to begin with.

Enough hyphens in that last sentence?

(Anonymous) 2007-12-28 02:25 am (UTC)(link)I just meant to direct it at the general fandom who feel the Doctor and Master are canon!love.

Re: #29
I am emphatically not a slasher. I hate pointless, "Oh, they're hot, let's put them together!" slash. Few things infuriate me quite so much as LotR slash.
Sigh all y'like, person-who-quickly-jumps-to-baseless assumptions, I think it's both hilarious and a little annoying to hear someone parrot back at me my own "Why can't you understand the different levels of relationships and love!" speech.
I don't ship Doctor/Master, per se. I decidedly do not want to read stories of their steamy affairs in the past, present, or future. I do think they had a relationship that goes beyond being friends. I also think there's a level of relationship that's in between friends and lovers. Something with the same passion, romance, and love as the latter, but without the sexual need. It happens. It exists. Friend, like love, is too casual and broad a term to be precise about it. But I think it's the sort of relationship Sam and Frodo had, that Merry and Pippin had, that Lucy and Tumnus had, that Hawkeye and BJ and Hawkeye and Trapper had. And I think it's the sort of relationship the Doctor and the Master had.
I just also think it's funny to read subtext into their relationship. Not so much into the death scene, because that was more just about the Doctor's overall ability to love, combined with the loss of a former friend and the last of his race. The subtext I see in the Classic who, and a bit in the phone-calls. I'm not saying there was hot, steamy man-sex and passionate kisses. I'm just saying that I love the subtext.
Also, while I don't particularly care to read or discover in-depth Doctor/Master slash, I wouldn't rule it out as a possibility just because the Doctor is 900+ years old, from a completely different planet, likely with a different morality, etc. SUBTEXT, not TEXT. It's just as possible one way as the other.
I believe "subtext" was my word of the day, and "sexually" was your own insert. Bugger you.

(Anonymous) 2007-12-28 05:36 am (UTC)(link)I wasn't referring to any of what you said especially none of your confusing SUBTEXT!lolz so... bugger you too?
