Yes, both the first and the second. I would say roll with it: I love the story. It has a number of cliche moments, but also a hearty dose of WTF that I consider well worth it. I'm also in love with the art direction.

You pretty much have to play BK to under the utter crazy/awesomeness which is the story of BKII. The battle system is much friendlier in II as well (though eventually the first's becomes second nature, provided you keep up with your cards). I should also mention that BKII actually has GOOD voice acting that doesn't sound like it was recorded through a paper towel tube.
