I honestly am much more of a Steve fan (I can take or leave Bucky) but why do the actors bother you? It's not like you have to look at them when you read fic.

Also, I kind of disagree here. I've found lots of great genfic for Steve so I don't think the pairing is overwhelming.

thegraytigress, for example, writes loads of great genfic (or het)

I don't like Steve enough to read Steve centric fics. I visualize characters when I read fics?

2. some Stony fics are great. I vastly prefer gen. My tastes are boring really.

I always have a sneaking suspicion that most (MCU) Stony fans ship it for that reason.

As someone who was briefly into Stony, I gotta agree with this. At least Stucky fans actually give a shit about both characters involved in their ship.
