Really? I've just read through the thread and I can't say I noticed "the defense of cumberbatch" happening much at all. I saw people asking 'what's the big deal', and others agreeing that they didn't care for the choice, and still others saying 'wait and see'.

The majority of people here aren't defending him.

For the love of fuck. You people don't know what "strawman" means, you just use the word to try to discredit people. You call people "defensive" for taking a position and holding to it. You call people "butthurt" for disagreeing with you. You see a few examples of someone having Position A in a thread filled with people having Position B and say "HAHA ISN'T IT HILARIOUS THAT THIS THREAD IS FILLED WITH PEOPLE HAVING POSITION A."

Fandomsecrets is a fucking fallacy smorgasbord. It's a bunch of idiots who can't take people being different from them flailing about wildly to prove to themselves that they're not just "right," they're superior for having the "right" opinion.
