Ah, the big red ball. My husband has expressed that he will be sad if there is no big red ball in the new Star Wars. I have expressed that my dislike of the new star trek movies has made me not want to see the new star wars.

And you are both very correct in your opinions. Abrams sucks and I wish he never got anywhere near either franchise, but at least the weird red ball fetish gives us some small piece of reference humor to enjoy. After all, there are only so many lens flare jokes.
