To be fair, the first half of the first season is a little slow, what with the romance issues, BUT if you can get to the episode with Professor H.P. Hatecraft and his novel The Shrieking Madness of Char Gar Gothakon: The Beast That Hath No Name, it's pretty good after that.

You do have to watch the episodes until that point, though; they come up later.

I actually got that far, then ditched during the episode with the goblin motorcycle gang. (There is something seriously wrong with your timeslot and rating when a biker brawl ends with the victors ordering extra-frothy cappuchinos.) Then I read the spoilers for season 2, and holy crap, that sounds totally awesome and I wish I'd watched it unspoiled.

It's so damn good.

Have you seen it, even though you were spoiled? Or have you not watched it yet, because it's visually stunning (IMO) on top of how good it is, and I think it would be worth giving a watch.

No, I haven't watched it yet. I know I should, but there's so much other stuff I ought to watch. (I've got stuff in my to-view queue from as far back as the '80s.)

Shame. Any CN show willing to gun down a character and not pretend she just 'fell asleep/passed out' is worth a watch!
