Ask your family's opinion about this unknown-to-them thing called post-feminism. You know, the philosophy that states that hating traditionally feminine things is the equivalent of hating women themselves and that there is no shame or lack of feminist ideals in pursuing embroidery, home cooking, or being a happy fashionista.

Since they are all STEM types, you may have to look up a few articles about this stuff, and unfortunately I'm guessing some of your nearest and dearest will still be OMFGWTFBBQ. But you may win a few allies. Maybe if you look hard enough in your social circle, you could discover that some of them feel stifled by the stereotypes they've been forced to live up to.
