See, I really loved the character, and some of the reasons I loved her are the very reasons why you hated her. I loved that she didn't play into the 'saintly disabled' trope, I loved that she was sneaky, that despite having a cognitive disability, she did possess some degree of cunning. I also liked that they balanced out some of the childlike traits that come with a lot of cognitive disabilities with her also having more adult wants, that she was not conveniently neutered of any romantic/sexual longing...

And I liked the way that they killed her off, I think it was the right choice for the story. But I liked that she was a fully-rounded, sometimes-bratty character, who did not possess a moral high ground over the other characters on the show by virtue of being 'innocent'... She was more relatable to me that way.
