Uh, that almost smells like troll.

Though once it happened my secret showed up on the same day (posted it early Saturday (CET) and it was up that evening.

Fair enough, it happens. You can voluntary spoiler tag em, though, which will generally avoid pissed-off reactions.

If I had known it would have generated this much wank I would have, but the promo that aired after the 12/2 episode, along with several promo pics that were released, showed her meeting her father, so I didn't think it would still be considered a spoiler by now.

Don't be bullied into thinking you need to spoiler tag, despite what some of the usual suspects say, it very much is not complusory and the onus is on readers to avoid spoilering themselves and to not complain when they do. You didn't cause the wank, OP, the extreme spoilerphobes did.

Generally it's polite to spoiler-warn for stuff that is less than a few months old.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-14 09:13 am (UTC)(link)
That's patently ridiculous. In the case of a movie, then you'd have a very tenous case for this arbitrary rule of yours, but when it comes to a TV show on a weekly schedule? You're basically saying any and all public discussion on the entire show should run a few months behind just in case you see something you don't want to see.

a) Never going to happen.

b) So fucking entitled I don't even know where to start.

How do you function in the real world where no one abides by your demands to consider your poor precious little feelings?

Many of us live overseas though, so we tend not to see US shows until a month afterwards *if we're lucky*. Not everybody downloads, and our country doesn't have Netflix.

It's politeness, anon dude. It would be OK if F!S was about a specific show, but posting to a general fandom site that doesnt have "saviour" tools like Tumblr requires a little more sensitivity beyond "just don't look".

DA

Also, some of us in the US might not have actually seen it yet. (I haven't)

lol "any and all public discussion"

How are you defining public? On a comm that's specifically about the show? On a secret that had a spoiler tag? Neither of those situations would in any way diminish the quality of the discussion.

I function fairly well in the real world, thanks for asking. :)
