Believing shit like that is human and not anything you can stop or start people doing whatever stupid shit is on tv. In our evolution people who could see connections between say eating berries and dying of poison survived while sceptics died and did not reproduce. So the human mind tries to explain every event even if there isn't a good explanation and they have to make up some stupid fairytale to fill it.
