Helix! It was the first Syfy channel drama I really tried. My expectations were low, given the reputation of the channel. But I watched it because Ron Moore and Javi Grillo-Marxuach are involved. And I was pleasantly surprised. I like the mystery aspects of it, but that I also feel like I know the writers know where it's going even if I don't (*coughLOSTcough*).

My favorite thing about it the eclectic soundtrack choices. I won't say the context it appears in, but I about lost my shit when they started playing "The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" over a certain scene. That was when I was 100% sold on this show.

Hmm. Seems to have pretty good ratings from viewers. I'll have to see if I can find it online and give it a look. It was renewed for a second season, so that is good news!
