Yes, paying for the artist taking time out of their day and using materials they bought is terrible and it should be free even though they could be doing something that earns them money.

Tell that to Disney or the large amount of other entertainment companies who partake in illegal activities which include stealing from and taking advantage of artists.

Like I get that people have moral objections to selling fanart but I really feel like a fanartist selling 10 dollar prints is the lesser of two evils. I wish more of this moral outrage went towards companies that are actively harming people on a massive scale.
