Early seasons of Ghost Hunters actually spent a great deal of time debunking things, though. That's why I was turned onto it by a friend who knew I was a "I'll believe it when I see it" kind of skeptic. They used to try and re-enact e.g. shadows and lights, sounds, even used to bring their plumbing background into the equation to explain odd noises, check for EMF radiation that could also cause the clients' experiences etc. They'd also outright say that there wasn't enough evidence to claim whether or not the things they'd experienced were paranormal or not. All in all, it would add much more credence to the inexplicable things they did capture.

Buuuuut, in the past few seasons, it's basically become a hokey "Oh, was that a thud/scrape/vague mechanical sound on the recording? Yep, you've got ghosts!" which I can only assume is down to dwindling ratings when they could go several episodes without getting any evidence whatsoever.

Or it's Douchebag Britt's fault, because holy shit no one has sucked on this show more than that guy.

There was a time, before Grant left, that I watched that show purely for the chemistry between the team members. ESPECIALLY Dave and Tango. Anything they may have found was just an added bonus.

ayrt

Dave and Tango are pretty much the only reason I still watch. My eyes may hurt from rolling them at the 'evidence' so often, but it goes away whenever there's a "I'll give you $50 to eat that dead bug," moment.
