Piping in late, but piping in to say that water boils at different temperatures depending on location, and it's the temperature that's important, not the boiling. If you live somewhere with very high altitude (as I do) you will never get the "perfect" cup of tea, because you can't get the water that hot without a pressure cooker (and that is obviously not for making tea.)

Anyway, here's a quick guide to the best temperatures for different kinds of tea.

Thanks for the additional (and new to me!) info, anon! I live practically at sea level so I didn't even think of how altitudes would change things =P
