There's a popular gif maker in my fandom who constantly does this. They seem to have a dozen different NOTPs, and every single one of them is femslash. Even more childish is the fact that their NOTPs are uniformly "rival" ships where one half of their (M/F) OTP is paired with another female character. Every time there's a post about their NOTP, they make a post talking about how disgusting the pairing and its shippers are. We know you hate it already. Blacklist the ship name and get over it.

I sort of want to unfollow them since their gifs would be all over my dash anyways, but it's like a trainwreck...

They hate femslash? Odd. Usually it's the slash that gets people all hot and bothered.

I have quite a few NOTPs, but all of them are because in canon the pairing is associated with violence, bullying, or rapey stuff, or at least one of the characters were underage when they first met. Even if the characters are aged up in fic, or the difficult stuff is taken away, I still can't like those pairings.

I wouldn't make posts about how disgusting the pairings are, though. Mostly because that would involve me having to think about those pairings more than I want to.

If someone is making huge continual posts about supposedly "disgusting" these pairings are, especially if there's a theme going on, I think it reeks of the lady doth protest too much.

Most of my NOTPs are femslash because femslash fans in my fandoms are the worst about shaming you and making it look like a social justice issue if you don't ship it.

Ah, that makes more sense then.

Any ship is annoying if you see too much of it, or if it's badly done, or if its supporters are aggressive, even if you started off by shipping it yourself.
