Same here, the dated blockiness doesn't really appeal to me. Aesthetically speaking, I like Prime Starscream and IDW Starscream, the latter especially drawn by Sarah Stone because she makes him ridiculously attractive. (In terms of most awesome Starscream, I'm partial to TFA Starscream though, but I don't like his design that much.)
